Master of Science in Nursing

Miami University offers an online Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program designed to advance the careers of registered nurses. The program provides two specialized tracks: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Nurse Executive Leadership, each culminating in a degree designation on the transcript. While the majority of coursework is delivered online, each track includes a 2–3 day on-campus immersion midway through the program.

Graduates of the MSN program are equipped to take on advanced practice roles in healthcare settings. FNP graduates are prepared to provide primary care across the lifespan, while Nurse Executive Leadership graduates are trained for leadership positions in healthcare organizations. Both tracks aim to enhance the quality of patient care and improve healthcare delivery systems.
