Business Administration is a very wide field that embraces the field of managing organizations in both the for-profit and the not-for-profit sectors of the economy. It includes everything from starting up a new firm, to managing giant corporations, to running government offices and agencies.
The Business Administration program in the Anderson College of Business and Computing begins with courses that teach the basic tools of business. These courses, usually taken in the first two years of study, include courses in accounting, economics, computer applications, statistics, and an introduction to business. During the last two years, students take more advanced general business courses, as well as more focused courses in their chosen areas of specialization. Specializations are available in the areas of Finance, General Business, International Business, Management, Marketing and Project Management.
